Can I bring my dog?

Yes you can if you keep it under control and pick up after it. Please notify us when you arrive with your pooch, as we have one too and would like to introduce them when you arrive.

Are there any costs for parking my boat (or others vehicles)?

No there will not be a charge for extra boats and vehicles. We have plenty of room for your toys.

How far is it to the Tui Brewery?

By car this will take you about 3-minutes from the north end of town or 5-minutes from the camp

What time is checkout?

We are very careful to give you the freedom to sleep in late and enjoy your peaceful surroundings, so we don't panic about checkout times. The cleaning is done in the afternoons to avoid any stress!

Where can we get a fishing license?

At the local Farmlands store which is just up the road from the BP station.

Where can I go for the best Fish 'n' Chip shop?

Young's Takeaways (next to the Black Stump Café and Restaurant)

What time does the gate shut and the office close?

The gate is never locked so even if it is closed you can still come in. If the office is closed, you can set up and enjoy your stay and catch up with us in the morning.

Can you accommodate large buses?

Yes we can, we have a large open area with plenty of turnaround space on and off the grass.

Do you have concrete pads for powered sites?

Yes we do. You also have grass area options in the summer time.

Do the showers cost extra?

No. They are included in the tariff, and are fantastic. But please be mindful of other guests, as we only have electric hot water cylinders and want every guest to be able to enjoy the experience of hot water!

How much does it cost for the washing machine and dryer?

The washing machine takes a $2 coin per load and the dryer takes $1 coins. The dryer is on a timer system, so the cost will depend on how big the load is as to how many coins it will take to dry your load. We also have washing lines outside.

Is the park sheltered from the wind?

Yes it is. We are completely surrounded by trees, which provide shelter from the harshest winter weather.
